First The Beatles starred in their own movie and more recently the Spice Girls made a small fortune from Spice World.
Now, One Direction are set to follow in the footsteps of the two record breaking bands with their own flick which could earn them £50 million.
The former X Factor finalists are set to star in either a scripted comedy, like the fab four did in A Hard Day's Night, or a documentary piece.

One thing that is certain, however, is the fact that the big budget film would be shot entirely in 3D.
Harry Styles, 18, described the opportunity of making a movie as a great chance for their fans to get up, close and personal with the lads.
He told The Sun: 'The film could be exciting. My hair would be poking in your eye.'

Harry, along with band mates Louis Tomlinson, 20, Liam Payne, 18, Zayn Malik, 19, and Niall Horan, 18, will begin filming at the start of next year.
All of the teen heartthrobs, who are currently on tour in Canada, are reportedly excited to making the big movie and they hope to emulate the success of the Monkees.
Canadian star Justin Bieber made Never Say Never, last year, and grossed an impressive £60 million at the box office.

A source told the newspaper: 'US film experts are speculating that the 1D film would be similar to Justin’s movie and will be a big money-spinner for the boys.'
The release date is scheduled for 8 November 2013, which will see it go head to head with Marvel Comics and Disney's Thor 2.
The boys have acting experience already having released a DVD, Up All Night: The Live Tour, and they guest starred in an episode of iCarly.
A spokesman for One Direction told the Mail Online: 'Nothing is confirmed currently.'
