He's made it clear that he intends to set up home in celebrity hotspot Primrose Hill.

But wherever he moves to, it's clear that One Direction's Liam Payne will be ensconced in some serious luxury. 

Photos of the gorgeous £2 million penthouse flat which he is thinking of buying have emerged, proving that the 18-year-old has developed pretty grown-up taste.

The central London pad features a huge balcony with stunning views of the city, and spacious indoor living areas.

A high-ceilinged living room features a wall-high window, tasteful furnishings and opens onto the modern kitchen.

The bar surface would certainly be ideal for entertaining his 1D bandmates, and the spare bedroom might come in handy is anyone needs to crash.

Liam appears happy to be staying at home for the moment however, and tweeted this afternoon: ['Just cooking chinease with my dad and he's got his new gok wan cook book yumm!!!'

His One Direction bandmate Harry Styles is said to be looking for a home in the area.

And it would appear that Liam can't bear to stay too far apart from his pal.

The 18-year-old was spotted househunting in Primrose Hill, North London yesterday.

He was accompanied by a young blonde who looked like 1D hairdresser and make-up artist Lou Teasdale - who also accompanied Harry on his search a few days ago. 

The young star is clearly delighted to be back in the UK, and tweeted earlier this week: 'Can't wait to get home and have a mcdaniels or a bugerqueen lol family guy jokes '

Perhaps like Harry, Liam is homing to seal his on-trend celebrity status by buying a property in the notoriously star-saturated area.

Harry was reportedly recommended Primrose Hill by presenter Nick Grimshaw.

Primrose Hill is home to celebrities including  Kate Moss, Sadie Frost, Jude Law, Gwen Stefani (part time), Tim Burton, and Rachel Weisz.

It would appear the lads are keen to start spending the cash they made over the course of their fantastically successful US trip.

Meanwhile, Niall Horan came under fire this week when he used some very inappropriate language in front of some female admirers.

The 18-year-old has suffered an unfortunate slip of the tongue, and today took to Twitter to apologise for calling a group of fans 'a shower of c****'.

Niall was filmed on a mobile phone as he greeted fans at Dublin airport upon his return home from the US on Tuesday.

Horan later took to Twitter to apologise for his use of the expletive.
